CONFERENCE CALL March 16, 2007 - 8:30 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Jerry Gutzwiler, Chair Jeff Koenings, Director Miranda Wecker, Vice Chair Larry Peck, Deputy Director Gary Douvia Tom Davis, Legislative Office Conrad Mahnken Morris Barker, Fish Program Chuck Perry Fred Shiosaki Commission Staff: Public Susan Yeager None LEGISLATIVE SESSION UPDATE: Tom Davis and Commissioners discussed the status of and Commissioner viewpoints on legislation related to the conservation and management of fish and wildlife resources in Washington State. SHELLFISH GEOGRAPHIC DEFINITIONS - RULE BRIEFING: Morris Barker briefed the Commission on proposed amendments to WAC 220-52-001, Shellfish-Geographical definitions, which would bring the definition of "coastal waters" in line with previously defined marine fish-shellfish management and catch reporting areas. The Commission will consider adopting permanent amendments on its April 20, 2007, conference call. No oral testimony on the proposed amendments was received during the conference call. GENERAL DISCUSSION: Commissioners and Director Koenings discussed recent activities and items of interest.
