CONFERENCE CALL March 21, 2008 - 8:30 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Jerry Gutzwiler, Chair Jeff Koenings, Director Ken Chew Phil Anderson, Deputy Director - Resource Policy Gary Douvia Darren Friedel, Public Affairs Conrad Mahnken Tom Davis, Special Assistant - Legislative Geroge Orr Chuck Perry Will Roehl Public Shirley Solomon None Commission Staff: Susan Yeager Chair Gutzwiler called the meeting to order at 8:34 a.m. SUMMARY OF COMMISSION REQUESTS: The Commission will review and update the list of Commission Requests to the Department at its April 11-12, 2008, Commission Meeting in Pasco. GENERAL DISCUSSION: Commissioners and Department staff discussed plans for a tour prior to the April 11-12, 2008, Commission Meeting in Pasco. Participants will meet in Clarkston at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008, to commence a field trip to the Asotin Wildlife Area for a tour of the Pintler Creek pilot grazing project. Members of the public can attend the tour, but must provide their own transportation. No official public comment will be taken during the tour. Other topics of discussion included: legislative update, and filling a vacancy on the Commission's Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities. The Wildlife Committee will interview candidates and report back to the full Commission with recommendations. Chair Gutzwiler adjourned the meeting at 10:07 a.m.
