CONFERENCE CALL October 20, 2006 - 8:30 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Ron Ozment, Chair Jeff Koenings, Director Fred Shiosaki, Vice Chair Larry Peck, Deputy Director Jerry Gutzwiler Morris Barker, Fish Program Conrad Mahnken Bruce Bjork, Enforcement Chuck Perry Dave Ware, Wildlife Program Will Roehl Shirley Solomon Commission Staff: Public Susan Yeager None RELIC SHELLS - RULE BRIEFING Morris Barker presented proposed rule amendments to WAC 220-20-025, General provisions-Shellfish, and WAC 220-56-129, Unclassified freshwater invertebrates and fish, that would allow the public to collect limited amounts of relic shells for personal use without the need to obtain a scientific collection permit. No oral testimony on the proposed rule amendments was received during the conference call. GENERAL DISCUSSION: Commissioners and Director Koenings discussed recent activities and items of interest.
