1. DEPARTMENT 2002 SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET REQUEST:

The Commission will consider approval of the Department's proposed 2002 Supplemental Budget Request for submission to the Office of Financial Management.

The Commission will consider approval of the Department's proposed 2002 Request Legislation for submission to the Office of Financial Management.

3. RENEWAL OF COMMERCIAL FISHING LICENSE UPON DEATH OF LICENSE HOLDER:

The Commission will consider adoption of WAC 220-20-056, Commercial Fishing License Renewal Upon the Death of the Holder, to allow estates a reasonable opportunity to renew a commercial fishing license.

4. EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE COASTAL CRAB FISHERY/APPEAL OF COASTAL SHELLFISH POT LIMIT:

The Commission will consider adoption of permanent amendments to the following rules:

- WAC 220-16-410, Definition -- Extenuating Circumstances: This amendment would redefine "extenuating circumstances."
- WAC 220-52-040, Commercial Crab Fishery -- Lawful and Unlawful Gear, Methods, and Other Unlawful Acts: This amendment would provide for a crab pot limit increase because of extenuating circumstances. This amendment would also provide a 30-day appeal period for coastal commercial license holders to appeal shellfish pot limit assignments.

The Commission will discuss items that arise immediately before or during the meeting but after the preliminary agenda is published.

Directions and Access to Natural Resources Building: From I-5, take State Capitol exit (105). The exit puts you on 14th Avenue. Go through the tunnel and turn right onto Capitol Way. Turn right onto 11th Avenue. Turn right onto Washington. Turn left into the parking lot. Visitor parking is on the P-1 level of the Building. Public access to the Building after 5:30 p.m. will be available only through the rotunda doors located on the west end of the building.
