ANNOUNCEMENT OF
FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION
CONFERENCE CALL
October 16, 2003

WHEN: Thursday, October 16, 2003, at 9:00 a.m.
WHAT:
  1. STURGEON ANNUAL LIMIT- RULE CHANGE:
    The Commission will consider adopting changes to a cooperative management proposal with Oregon that addresses allocation between anglers, and reduces statewide sport sturgeon annual limits from ten to five. (Note: Public input was accepted at the August 2, 2003, Commission meeting in Bellingham.)

    Staff Report: Bob Gibbons, State Inland Resource Manager, Fish Program

  2. DISCUSSION:
    Available Commissioners and the Director will discuss recent activities and items of interest.

  3. PETITION TO AMEND WAC 232-12-064 - LIVE WILDLIFE:
    The Commission will consider a petition for rule change by Tracy Lloyd of Quincy, Washington. Petitioner seeks to allow the taking of live pigeons for dog training.

  4. PETITION TO AMEND WAC 232-12-004 - CLASSIFICATION OF WILD BIRDS:
    The Commission will consider a petition for rule change by Tracy Lloyd of Quincy, Washington. Petitioner seeks to add pigeons to the predatory bird classification.

  5. COMMISSION CONFERENCE CALL DATES FOR 2004:
    The Commission will consider setting the 2004 Commission conference calls to occur on the first and third Thursday of each month.

  6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
    The Commission will review and consider approving the minutes of various meetings, workshops, and conference calls.
WHERE: The meeting will take place via conference telephone call. The public may listen to the discussion via speakerphone at the Department of Fish and Wildlife, Natural Resources Building, Commission Office, Fifth Floor, 1111 Washington Street SE, Olympia. No public input will be accepted.
