FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION

  1. SHELLFISH GEOGRAPHIC DEFINITIONS - RULE ACTION:
    The Commission will consider adoption of permanent amendments to WAC 220-52-001, Shellfish-Geographical definitions, to bring the definition of "coastal waters" in line with previously defined marine fish-shellfish management and catch reporting areas.

  2. 2007 LEGLISLATIVE SESSION UPDATE:
    The Commission and Department staff will discuss the status of legislation related to the conservation and management of fish and wildlife resources in Washington State.

  3. PERFORMANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
    The Commission and Department staff will discuss the development of public survey questions relative to the Department’s Strategic Plan.

  4. SUMMARY OF COMMISSION REQUESTS:
    The Commissioners will review the current list of Commission requests to the Department and consider new requests.

    The Commission will discuss recent activities of the various Commission committees.

  6. PUBLIC COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION:
    The Commission and Deputy Director Larry Peck will discuss development of an overall public communications and education policy for the agency.

  7. GENERAL DISCUSSION:
    Available Commissioners and Department staff will discuss recent activities and items of interest.

*LOCATION: The meeting will take place via telephone conference call. The public may listen to the discussion via speakerphone in the Commission Office at the Department of Fish and Wildlife, Natural Resources Building, 5th floor, 1111 Washington Street SE, Olympia. No public input will be accepted only during the call.
