MEETING MINUTES

FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION
CONFERENCE CALL
June 15, 2007 - 8:30 a.m.
Olympia, Washington

Chair Gutzwiler called the conference call to order at 8:35 a.m.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:
The Commission immediately went into Executive Session pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(h) to evaluate the qualifications of candidates for appointment to the Commission's Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities. The Executive Session was closed to the public, and no action took place during the Executive Session.

At 8:50 a.m., the Commission came out of Executive Session. Commissioner Perry moved, seconded by Commissioner Wecker, to appoint Malcolm Epstein to the Commission's Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities. The motion carried unanimously.

SPECIAL MEETING DATES - DECISION:
The Commission, after discussion, selected July 26, 2007, for a Special Meeting in Olympia to discuss strategic planning and budget development.

AUGUST COMMISSION MEETING PLANNING:
The Commission discussed potential agenda topics for the August 2, 2007, Special Meeting with the Washington Conservation Commission, and the August 3-4, 2007 Commission meeting; both meetings will take place in Anacortes.


Steve Pozzanghera reviewed proposed housekeeping changes to WAC 232-12-295, Landowner hunting permits, and requested that the public hearing and final action on proposed rules be set for the August 3-4, 2007, Commission meeting in Anacortes.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Commissioners and Director Koenings discussed recent activities and items of interest.

Chair Gutzwiler adjourned the Conference call at 10:15 a.m.

Commission's Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities

- Commissioner Perry moved, seconded by Commissioner Wecker, to appoint Malcolm Epstein to the Commission's Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities. The motion carried unanimously.
