1. COMMISSION WORKSHOP - MANAGEMENT
ASSISTANCE TEAM TRAINING:
Sally Guynn, Executive Director of the National
Conservation Leadership Institute, of the Management
Assistance Team will facilitate a training
session on roles and responsibilities for Fish
and Wildlife Commissioners. |

2. 2008 SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET REQUESTS
-- DECISION:
Department staff, along with Office of Financial
Management (OFM) staff, will brief the Commission
on the Department's proposed 2008 Supplemental
Operating and Supplemental Capital Budget Requests.
The Commission will consider approval of the requests
for submission to OFM.

3. CAPITAL PROGRAM ACTION PLAN - UPDATE:
The Commission will provide feedback to the Department
on the work plan for improving the Capital Program
element of the Department's Asset Management Program.

4. GENERAL DISCUSSION:
The Commission and available Department staff
will discuss recent changes in senior management,
recent activities, and other related items of

6. MOVING FORWARD ON SALMON RECOVERY:
THE NEED FOR AN ALL "H" STRATEGY:
The Commission and the Honorable Norm Dicks, Congressman,
6th District, Washington State, will discuss the
need for a salmon recovery strategy that integrates
four major factors: Habitat, Hydropower, Harvest,
and Hatcheries.
7. IMPLEMENTING HATCHERY REFORM:
Dr. Lars Mobrand, John Barr, and Lee Blankenship,
will provide an overview of the Hatchery Scientific
Review Group and its efforts evaluating hatchery
reform as part of the Puget Sound and Coastal
Washington Hatchery Reform Project.
8. COMMISSION QUESTIONS & ANSWERS - DISCUSSION:
The Commission will discuss hatchery reform with
the presenters. |
