COLUMBIA RIVER SPRING CHINOOK
ALLOCATION – UPDATE:
At a special Commission meeting held on February 8,
2008, the Fish and Wildlife Commission voted to adopt
Commission Policy C-3617, Mainstem Columbia River
Spring Chinook Management and Allocation for Non-Indian
Fisheries. As a follow-up to that decision, the
Commission will review the Director’s discussion and
recommendation in light of a desire for concurrent regulations,
Policy C-3617, the upcoming meeting of the Columbia
River Compact representatives, and the position of the
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and may provide
additional guidance or direction to the Director regarding
the 2008 spring Chinook fishery.
*WHERE: The meeting will take place via telephone
conference call. The public may listen to the discussion
via speakerphone at the Natural Resources Building,
1tst floor, Room 172, 1111 Washington Street SE, Olympia*.
No public input will be accepted during the call. For
