At a special meeting held via conference call on February 8, 2008, the Fish and Wildlife Commission voted to adopt Commission Policy C-3617, Mainstem Columbia River Spring Chinook Management and Allocation for Non-Indian Fisheries. As a follow-up to that decision, the Commission reviewed the Director's discussion and recommendation in light of a desire for concurrent regulations, the upcoming meeting of the Columbia River Compact representatives, and the position of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Commissioner Wecker moved, seconded by Commissioner Chew, to amend Commission Policy C-3617, Mainstem Columbia River Spring Chinook Management and Allocation for the Non-Indian Fisheries, 2008, by inserting in the first sentence of the Delegation of Authority paragraph after the second use of the words "Columbia River", the words "consistent with C-3617 Attachment #1 2008 Management Measures Recommendations to the Columbia River Compact Process" and by attaching and incorporating Attachment #1 into Policy 3617. The motion carried unanimously.
