Chair Gutzwiler called the meeting
to order at 8:30 a.m.
2009-2011 BUDGET DEVELOPMENT /
FUNDING SOURCES - BRIEFING:
Joe Stohr reviewed the status of the Department's
2009-2011 budget proposal development and strategic
planning process, including ideas for new funding
sources.
DEPARTMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEES,
PROPOSED POLICY - DISCUSSION:
Commissioners and Department staff discussed potential
ideas for a new Commission policy to guide the Department
in the management and use of citizen advisory committees.
The Commission plans to discuss this topic at the
May 2-3, 2008, Commission meeting in Colville.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
The Commissioners discussed recent activities and
items of interest, including: (1) dates and topics
for special Commission work sessions this summer;
(2) plans for the May 2-3, 2008, Commission Meeting
in Colville; and (3) the Region 5 position vacancy
on the Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities.
Chair Gutzwiler adjourned the meeting
at 11:05 a.m.
