to order at 8:40 a.m.
UPCOMING COMMISSION MEETINGS -
DISCUSSION:
Commissioners and Department staff discussed plans
for upcoming Commission meetings, including:
June 6-7, 2008: Preliminary agenda items for
the meeting in Ocean Shores, and plans for the
Mount St. Helens' Wildlife Area tour on June
5.
July 18, 2008: Public hearing on proposed
cougar hunting amendments. This will be a teleconference
call held at 6:00 p.m. in Spokane and Olympia.
July 18-19, 2008: Regular Commission meeting
is cancelled.
August 7, 2008: Co-management meeting in Lynnwood
with the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Topics of discussion included: Joint meeting with
the Conservation Commission in September or October
2008; sea lions; May 19, 2008, Columbia River Stakeholder
Group meeting; steelhead plan; Master Hunter Program.
Chair Gutzwiler adjourned the meeting
at 10:35 a.m.
