Washington Commission Chair Gutzwiler called the Joint Meeting of the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission and the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission to order at 10:15 a.m. and welcomed the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission to the meeting.

Both Commissions received staff briefings and discussed issues of mutual concern relating to fisheries and wildlife management. No motions, actions, or public testimony occurred during the meeting.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

SALMON MANAGEMENT:

  • Governor's Letter to Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission
  • Hatchery Reform
  • U.S. / Canada Salmon Treaty Agreement
  • North of Falcon Fishery Process

Commissioners, Department staff, NWIFC / Tribal members, and public attended a lunch buffet in the Hotel's Atrium.

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT:

  • Regional Wildlife Management Plans
  • Co-Management Relations

Chair Gutzwiler adjourned the meeting at 3:40 p.m.
