MEETING MINUTES

FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION
CONFERENCE CALL

March 13, 2009 - 8:30 a.m.
Olympia, Washington

Chair Wecker called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
Tom Davis briefed the Commission on the current status of legislation related to the conservation and management of fish and wildlife resources in Washington State.

Commissioner Douvia moved, seconded by Commissioner Perry, to adopt the Commission’s position statement on SB 5127, as drafted by Commissioner Wecker and including the addition of Commissioner Orr’s input about communication with the Legislature. The motion carried unanimously.

Chair Wecker adjourned the meeting at 9:53 a.m.

Position Statement on SB 5127	- Motion by Douvia, second by Perry, to adopt the statement drafted by Commissioner Wecker concerning the Commission’s position on SB 5127, Concerning the Governance of the Department of Fish and Wildlife, including the addition of Commissioner Orr’s input. The motion carried unanimously.
