As a follow-up to the December 4-5, 2009, Commission meeting in Olympia, Department staff will review the current status of and answer Commissioners’ questions about the proposed 2010-2012 Sportfish Regulations package, which will be on the February 4-5-6, 2010, meeting agenda for Commission action. The Commission held a public hearing on the proposals at its December 4-5, 2009, in Olympia.

B. DELETERIOUS EXOTIC WILDLIFE REGULATIONS – RULE BRIEFING:

Department staff will brief the Commission on the expedited rule making process for housekeeping changes to WAC 232-12-017, Deleterious exotic wildlife; and WAC 232-12-064, Live wildlife, which would correct the term for the American Zoological Association, correct the section number of an important rule of the Washington Department of Agriculture, and make grammatical and punctuation adjustments. The Commission will consider expedited adoption of the rule proposal at its January 8-9, 2010, meeting in Olympia.

Available Commissioners and Department staff will discuss recent activities and items of interest.
*WHERE: The meeting takes place via telephone conference call and will be recorded. The public may listen to the discussion live via speakerphone in the Commission Office at the Department of Fish and Wildlife, Natural Resources Building, 5th floor, 1111 Washington Street SE, Olympia. No public input will be accepted during the call.
