FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION
MEETING via CONFERENCE CALL*

A. 2010 LEGISLATIVE SESSION UPDATE:
Department staff will brief the Commission on the status of legislation related to the conservation and management of fish and wildlife resources in Washington State (Tom Davis).
B. PROPOSED 2010-2012 SPORTFISHING REGULATIONS – DISCUSSION:
In preparation for the February 4-5, 2010, Commission meeting in Olympia, Commissioners and Department staff will review the current status of and answer Commissioners’ questions about the proposed 2010-2012 Sportfishing Regulations package. The Commission held a public hearing on the proposals at its December 4-5, 2009, meeting in Olympia, and will take final action on the proposals at its February 4-6, 2010, meeting in Olympia.
C. SPRING CHINOOK FISHERIES – DISCUSSION:
As a follow-up to the January 7-9, 2010, Commission meeting in Olympia, Department staff will review the current status of and answer Commissioners’ questions about Policy C-3617, Mainstem Columbia River Spring Chinook Management and Allocation for Non-Indian Fisheries, 2009-2013. The Commission held a public hearing on potential changes to the policy at its January 7-9, 2010, meeting in Olympia and may consider providing additional guidance on the current policy at its February 4-6, 2010, meeting in Olympia.
D. PUGET SOUND CRAB CATCH CARD AUDIT STATUS UPDATE:
Department staff will provide the Commission with information on the status of the State Auditor’s Office Performance Audit of the Department of Fish and Wildlife Puget Sound Dungeness Crab Fishing program.
E. GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Available Commissioners and Department staff will discuss recent activities and items of interest, including agenda items for the February 4-5, 2010, Commission meeting in Olympia.

The public may listen to the discussion live via speakerphone in the Commission Office at the Department of Fish and Wildlife, Natural Resources Building, 5th floor, 1111 Washington Street SE, Olympia. No public input will be accepted during the call.
