Chair Wecker called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
A. 2010 LEGISLATIVE SESSION UPDATE:
Tom Davis briefed the Commission on the status of legislation related to the conservation and management of fish and wildlife resources in Washington State, including legislation that would transfer authority to appoint the Department Director from the Commission to the Governor. The Commission agreed by consensus to issue a statement opposing Senate Bill 6813.
B. GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Director Phil Anderson briefed the Commission on the status of pertinent issues, including spring Chinook fishery, Columbia River sturgeon fishery and big horn sheep health problems.
