FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

The Commission has called a special meeting to receive briefings by Department staff and discuss the final Environmental Impact Statement/Recommended Wolf Conservation and Management Plan. Following the briefing and Commission discussion, there will be an opportunity for public input.

WOLF CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT PLAN – BRIEFING & DISCUSSION:
Department staff will brief the Commission on its final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)/Recommended Wolf Conservation and Management Plan (Plan). The briefing will include an overview of the content of the EIS/Plan, a description of the planning process used to develop the EIS/Plan, and a summary of comments received from public and scientific peer reviews and the Wolf Working Group. The Commission may consider approval of a final Plan later this year.

The Commission will hold three additional special meetings to continue its discussions and accept public input on the Wolf Conservation and Management Plan: August 29, 2011, in Ellensburg; and October 6 and November 3, 2011, in Olympia.  Additional details will be posted on our website as they become available.
