2. Open Public Input
The Commission is a direct link between citizens of Washington and the Department of Fish and Wildlife.  Comments on Department programs and topics of concern are welcome during this portion of the meeting.

NOTE: During this portion of the meeting, the public is encouraged to comment on issues that are not on the agenda for decision action.

5. Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities Report
Americans with Disabilities Advisory Committee Chair will present the required legislative report, detailing the effectiveness of the advisory committee including, but not limited to, the participation levels, general interest, quality of advice, and recommendations as to the advisory committee's continuance or modification to the Commission for approval.

6. Proposed Land Transactions - Decision
The Commission will consider approval of various land transactions recommended by the Department for the protection of critical fish and wildlife habitat, enhancement of public recreation opportunities and responsible property management:

The Department is recommending the following actions:

  • Proposed Acquisition of 2 acres in Mason County
  • Proposed Acquisition of 95 acres in Wahkiakum County
  • Proposed Acquisition of 40 acres in Grant County
  • Proposed Timber Thinning on the Scotch Creek and Sinlahekin Wildlife Areas
  • Proposed Acquisition in Asotin County

7. Private Lands Program Overview - Briefing

11. Executive Session
Pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(g), the Commission will meet in executive session to review the performance of a public employee.

12. SUMMARY OF COMMISSION REQUESTS:
The Commission and Director will discuss and make updates to the current list of Commission requests to the Department and may consider new requests.

13. MISCELLANEOUS AND MEETING DEBRIEF:
The Commission will discuss items that arise immediately before or during the meeting and after the preliminary agenda is published.

Directions and Access to the Natural Resources Building: From I-5, take State Capitol exit (105). The exit puts you on 14th Avenue. Go through the tunnel and turn right onto Capitol Way. Turn right onto 11th Avenue. Turn right onto Washington. Turn left into the parking lot. Visitor parking is on the P-1 level of the building.

Public access to the Natural Resources Building after 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday will be available only through the rotunda doors located on the west end of the building.
