Three meetings slated on draft northeast Washington elk management plan
A draft plan for managing elk in northeast Washington will be the subject of three public meetings Jan. 26- Feb. 2. The proposed elk management plan is referred to as the "Selkirk Elk Herd Plan" because it includes elk in the Selkirk Mountains of Pend Oreille County

2009-2015 GAME MANAGEMENT PLAN
2009-2015 GAME MANAGEMENT PLAN DEVELOPMENT This plan will guide the Department's management of hunted wildlife for 2009-2015. The focus of the plan is on the scientific management of game populations, harvest management, and other significant factors affecting game populations. Washington's citizens played a strong role in revising this plan and a variety of public involvement opportunities have been and will be used to solicit ideas.

Game Status & Trend
The Game Status and Trend Report describes the current status and assesses trends in populations for game species within the state. For major species, separate sections cover each region or other management unit.

 

Game Harvest Reports
Game Harvest Reports provide annual harvest statistics based on hunter reporting. Species recorded include elk, deer, turkey, cougar, black bear and small game. Trapping reports are also included.
