Recreational Spring Chinook Fisheries
- The mainstem Columbia River will open for the retention of adipose fin-clipped spring Chinook salmon from the to the I-5 Bridge upstream to Bonneville Dam from Wednesday June 6 through June 15, 2007. The fishery previously was only open up to the I-5 Bridge. Daily limit, 6 salmon, of which no more than 2 may be adult salmon. Release all wild Chinook and sockeye. Minimum size, 12 inches. Daily limit, 2 trout; release wild steelhead and wild cutthroat. Minimum size, 12-inches.
- The mainstem Columbia River will open for the retention of adipose fin-clipped spring Chinook salmon from Bonneville Dam upstream to McNary Dam from Wednesday June 6 through June 15, 2007. Daily limit 6 salmon of which no more than 2 may be adult salmon. Release all wild Chinook and sockeye. Minimum size 12 inches. Daily limit 2 trout; release wild steelhead. Minimum size 12-inches
- For the mainstem Columbia River salmon and steelhead fishery upstream of the Tongue Point/Rocky Point line effective through June 15, 2007, it is unlawful when fishing from vessels which are less than 30 feet in length, substantiated by Coast Guard documentation or Marine Board registration, to totally remove from the water any salmon or steelhead required to be released.
- Check the regulations pamphlet for information on the recreational summer Chinook fishery, which opens on June 16 from Tongue Point upstream to Priest Rapids Dam, and on July 1 above Priest Rapids Dam.
FUTURE MEETINGS
- A hearing is scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, June 14 via teleconference to consider treaty Indian and non-Indian summer commercial fishing periods.
- A hearing is scheduled for 10 AM Thursday July 26 to consider non-Indian fall commercial fishing periods (location to be announced).

Treaty Indian Shad Sales
- A Compact hearing took place today to consider shad sales from treaty Indian fisheries.

- Shad harvested from tribal fisheries may be sold. In addition, the tribes may utilize a trap located at the outlet from The Dalles Dam fish ladder, which is specifically authorized by the USACE to ensure salmonid passage and personal safety.
