Fisheries already in place:

2007 Late Fall Commercial Fishery
Season: 7 PM Tuesday October 23 through 7 AM Wednesday October 24 (12 hours)
Area: Zones 1-5
Gear: 8-inch minimum mesh size and 9¾-inch maximum mesh size
Sanctuaries: Elochoman-A, Abernathy, Cowlitz, Kalama-A, Lewis-A, Sandy and Washougal rivers

Allowable Sales:

Salmon only. White sturgeon may not be sold.

Other Rules:

24 hour Quick Reporting Rules will be in effect for Washington buyers.

Fisheries adopted Monday, October 22, 2007:

2007 Late Fall Commercial Fishery
Season: 7AM through 7 PM Tuesday October 23, 2007 (12 hours)
Area: Zones 1-3
Gear: No minimum and 9¾-inch maximum mesh size
 
Season: Wednesday and Thursday nights from October 23, 2007 (12 hours)
Open hours are 7PM-7AM
Area: Zones 1-5
Gear: 8-inch minimum mesh size
 
Sanctuaries: Elokomin-A, Abernathy, Cowlitz, Kalama-A, Lewis-A, Washougal and Sandy Rivers

Allowable Sales:

Salmon only. White sturgeon may not be sold.

Other Rules:

Nets not specifically authorized for use in the fishery may be onboard the vessel if properly stored.
24 hour Quick Reporting Rules will be in effect for Washington buyers.

  • A Compact hearing is scheduled via teleconference for 1:00 pm Wednesday October 24 to consider addition commercial salmon fisheries.
