Ocean Recreational All-Species Fishery
Weeks 40 (September 29-5)

All areas NOF are now closed to recreational salmon fishing.

In-season Management Actions:

15-Aug

Trade of 1,000 coho from the NOF non-Treaty troll fishery to the recreational fishery in the Columbia River Area for 500 chinook from the NOF recreational fishery to the non-Treaty troll fishery. Due to differences in the mortality rates associated with released coho between the gear types, the 1,000 coho from the troll fishery resulted in an increase of 1,200 coho to the Columbia River Area recreational quota.

Columbia River Area recreational salmon fishery scheduled to close at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 17.
25-Aug Neah Bay area ocean fishery closed 11:59PM August 25.
State-waters Area 4B add-on fishery opened 12:01AM August 26.

The Westport, La Push, and Area 4B fisheries opened 7 days per week.
