Hanford Reach Steelhead Sport Fishery

An estimated 2,722 fall chinook were harvested this past week in the Hanford Reach (2,198 adults & 524 jacks). Anglers averaged 1.8 chinook per boat last week. So far this season, 6,340 adult fall chinook and 1,913 jacks have been harvested. Harvest is running 46% above last year.

Steelhead Fishery: A total of 327 steelhead were caught this past week with 261 hatchery steelhead retained (80%).  For the season, 957 steelhead have been caught, 625 hatchery steelhead retained, and 272 wild steelhead have been released.
