Hanford Reach Salmon Fishery
An estimated 1,081 boats fished in the Hanford Reach for salmon last week. A total of 689 adult chinook and 325 jacks were harvested. Anglers averaged just shy of 1 chinook per boat last week. Bank anglers at Ringold at picking up a few chinook jacks.
So far this season 1,125 adults and 457 jacks have been harvested. We are on the same pace as last year when 1,120 adult chinook and 486 jacks were harvested by September 21.
Starting September 22, anglers will be permitted to retain hatchery steelhead in CRC Area 535 (Hwy 395 Bridge to Priest Rapids Dam). See WDFW website for details.
