Anglers harvested an estimated 102 adults and 39 jacks this week. WDFW/PSMFC staff interviewed 66 boats during the week (52% of the effort). Effort was down slightly from last year. Catch, however, is higher than last years' with 4,579 adults and 1,729 jacks harvested as of Oct 28 compared to 4,019 adults and 407 jacks through Oct 29, 2006. The fall chinook fishery closed above the old Hanford Town site (wooden power line towers) on Oct 22. The area below the Hanford town site downstream to McNary Dam remains open through Dec 31 but few chinook are typically caught after Nov 1.
