Bay
The Willapa Bay fishery began on September 17, 2006 and continued through
October 7 with only a 2 day break on September 29 & 30 in Areas 2G,
2H, 2J, 2M and 2K (some boundary areas were limited). There was a 12
hr chum day on October 22. White Sturgeon retention begins November
6 through 30, 2006 using 9-inch minimum mesh with a 2-day break and
change in gear to 6-inch maximum mesh for a late coho retention November
15-17, 2006

Harbor
The Grays Harbor fishery began with a 1-day fishery on October 8, 2006
in Area 2C. This was followed by 4 consecutive, 8 hr days on October
10-13 in Areas 2A and 2D with boundary lines limited.Gear restriction
was 6-inch maximum mesh, soak time was limited to 45 minutes and live
boxes were required.(See the 2006 Commercial Gillnet Schedule for Grays
Harbor for details of schedule and gear restrictions).There was NO RETENTION
of Chinook or Green Sturgeon allowed.
