Net must hang straight from top to bottom Strings may only be used to secure breakaway panels. Only ONE net of either 6-inch or 9-inch configuration may be on-board the vessel when fishing

Area 2C

  • All non-legal sturgeon and steelhead must be handled with care to minimize injury and released immediately to the river/bay
  • Soak times are limited to 45 minutes  (timed from net entering water until complete removal from water)
  • 6-inch maximum mesh, no more than 55 meshes deep.
  • RETENTION OF GREEN STURGEON PROHIBITED
  • Quick Reporting Required

Area 2A shall include those waters of Grays Harbor and the Chehalis River estuary upstream from the Highway 101 Bridge at Aberdeen to a line projected from the Lakeside Industries asphalt plant tower at a right angle to the thread of the stream to the opposite shore.

And that portion of Area 2D lying easterly of a north-south line from the confluence of the Hoquiam and Chehalis rivers to Renney Island then easterly to “Range Marker G” located on the south shore of Grays Harbor.  Then to the eastern boundary of Area 2D at the Highway 101 Bridge.

  • Notice of intent to participate in any of the days of this fishery is required by 10am, October 6th, 2008 (use quick reporting phone, fax or email).
  • 6-inch maximum mesh, no more than 55 meshes deep.
  • Soak times are limited to 45 minutes (timed from net entering water until complete removal from water)
  • LIVE BOXES REQUIRED
  • RELEASE ALL CHINOOK  
  • All Chinook, non-legal sturgeon and steelhead must be handled with care to minimize injury and released immediately to the river/bay
  • All fishers must carry an on-board observer if requested by WDFW
  • RETENTION OF GREEN STURGEON PROHIBITED
  • Quick Reporting Required
