Columbia River (Buoy 10): Aug 1-Aug. 15, daily limit two salmon, no more than one chinook. Chinook minimum size 24 inches, coho minimum size 16 inches. Release sockeye, chum and wild coho. Aug. 16-Sept. 30, daily limit three salmon, no more than one chinook may be retained. Release sockeye, chum and wild coho.

Ilwaco (Marine Area 1): Beginning July 25, open seven days per week. Daily limit two salmon, no more than one chinook. Chinook minimum size 26 inches. Release wild coho. Season may close earlier if overall quota of 112,500 hatchery coho or chinook guideline is attained.

Westport ( Marine Area 2): Beginning July 25, open seven days per week. Daily limit two salmon, no more than one chinook. Chinook minimum size is 26 inches, coho minimum size is 16 inches. No minimum size for other salmon. Release wild coho. Season may close earlier if quota of 83,250 hatchery coho or chinook guideline is attained. Grays Harbor Control Zone closed beginning Aug. 16. Willapa Bay (Marine Area 2-1): June 22-Aug. 15, open concurrent with the ocean (Marine Area 2) when the adjacent ocean area is open for salmon. Marine Area 2 rules apply. Aug. 16-Jan. 31, minimum size for all salmon species is 12 inches. Daily limit six salmon, no more than two adults. Single barbless hooks required.

Grays Harbor (Marine Area 2-2): West of the Buoy 13 line: June 22-Aug. 15, open concurrent with Marine Area 2 when the adjacent ocean area is open for salmon. Marine Area 2 rules apply. Closed Aug. 16-Sept. 15. East of the Buoy 13 line: June 22-Sept. 15, closed. Sept. 16-Nov. 30: Minimum size 12 inches. Daily limit six salmon combined, no more than two adults. Release adult chinook. Single barbless hooks required. Westport and Ocean Shores boat basins: Aug. 16-Jan. 31, minimum size 12 inches, daily limit six salmon combined, no more than four adults. Barbed hooks allowed. Night closure and non-buoyant lure restriction.

La Push: (Marine Area 3): June 22-Sept. 14, daily limit two salmon, plus one additional pink salmon. No more than one chinook. Release wild coho. Chinook minimum size 26 inches, coho minimum size 16 inches. No minimum size for other salmon species. Season may close early if sub-quota of 5,750 hatchery coho or chinook guideline is attained. LaPush late season area: Sept. 20-Oct. 5, daily limit two salmon combined. No more than one chinook. Release wild coho. Season may close earlier if overall quota of 5,850 hatchery coho or chinook guideline is attained. The late season area is defined by a line from Teahwhit Head northwesterly to Q buoy to Cake Rock then true east to the shoreline. Same season and rules apply as Marine Area 3, except during Sept. 20-Oct. 5 timeframe.

Neah Bay: (Marine Area 4): Waters south of a line from Kydaka Point westerly approximately four miles to Shipwreck Point are closed to fishing for salmon July 1-Sept. 30. June 22-Sept. 14, daily limit two salmon, plus one additional pink salmon. No more than one chinook. Release wild coho. Chinook minimum size 26 inches, coho minimum size 16 inches. East of the Bonilla-Tatoosh line: Chinook retention allowed July 1-July 31 only, and east of a true north-south line through Sail Rock closed to salmon fishing July 1-July 31. Release wild coho. Release chum Aug. 1-Sept. 14. Season may close earlier if quota of 23,400 hatchery coho or chinook guideline is attained.

Sekiu (Marine Area 5): Waters south of a line from Kydaka Point west approximately four miles to Shipwreck Point are closed to fishing for salmon July 1-Sept. 30. July 1-July 4: No minimum size, daily limit two salmon. Release chinook, wild coho and chum. July 5-31: Chinook selective fishery. Chinook minimum size 22 inches. No minimum size for other salmon species. Daily limit two salmon combined, release wild chinook, wild coho and chum. Any salmon to be released may not be brought on board a vessel. Hatchery chinook retention may close earlier if an overall quota of 3,500 chinook is attained.

  • Aug. 1-3: Chinook minimum size 22 inches, no minimum size for other salmon species. Daily limit is four salmon, no more than two chinook and coho in total. Release wild chinook, wild coho and chum. Any salmon to be released may not be brought on board a vessel.
  • Aug. 4-31: No minimum size. Daily limit is four salmon, no more than two coho. Release chinook, wild coho and chum.
  • Sept. 1-15: No minimum size. Daily limit 4 salmon, no more than 2 may be coho. Release chinook, chum, and wild coho.

  • Entire Area
    • July 1-4, no minimum size. Daily limit is two salmon. Release chinook, wild coho and chum.
    • Aug. 15-31, no minimum size. Daily limit four salmon. No more than two coho. Release chinook, wild coho and chum.
    • Sept. 1-15, no minimum size. Daily limit 4 salmon, no more than 2 may be coho. Release chinook, chum, and wild coho.
  • Chinook selective fishery, west of a true north/south line through the No. 2 buoy immediately east of Ediz Hook.
    • July 5-31: Chinook selective fishery. Chinook minimum size 22 inches, no minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit two salmon, release wild chinook, wild coho and chum. Any salmon to be released may not be brought on board a vessel. Hatchery chinook retention may close earlier if an overall quota of 3,500 chinook is attained.
    • Aug. 1-3: Chinook selective fishery. Chinook minimum size 22 inches, no minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit four salmon, no more than two coho and chinook in total may be retained. Release wild chinook, wild coho and chum. Any salmon to be released may not be brought on board a vessel.
  • Chinook release area east of a true north/south line through the No. 2 buoy immediately east of Ediz Hook.
    • July 5-31: No minimum size. Daily limit two salmon. Release all chinook, wild coho and chum.
    • Aug. 1-14: No minimum size. Daily limit four salmon, no more than two coho. Release all chinook, wild coho and chum. Any salmon to be released may not be brought on board a vessel.

San Juan Islands (Marine Area 7)(See sport fishing pamphlet for important area closure information): July 1-31, chinook minimum size 22 inches, no minimum size for other salmon species. Daily limit two salmon, no more than one chinook. Aug. 1-Sept. 30, chinook minimum size 22 inches. No minimum size for other salmon species. Daily limit four salmon, no more than one chinook. No more than two chinook and coho in total. Release wild coho and chum. Aug. 16-Oct. 31, Bellingham Bay fishery. Chinook minimum size 22 inches, no minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit four salmon, no more than two chinook. See sport fishing pamphlet for important area closure information.

Deception Pass–Skagit Bay (Marine Area 8-1): Aug. 1-Sept. 30, no minimum size. Daily limit four salmon, no more than two coho and chum. Release chinook.

Port Susan-Port Gardner (Marine Area 8-2): Aug. 1-Sept. 30, no minimum size. Daily limit four salmon, no more than two coho and chum in total. Release chinook. Tulalip Terminal Area Fishery: See sport fishing pamphlet for important fishing boundary information. July 4-Sept. 29, open 12:01 a.m. Friday through 11:59 a.m. Monday of each week. Chinook minimum size is 22 inches, no minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit two salmon. Closed to fishing for salmon east of a line from Mission Point to Hermosa Point.

Admiralty Inlet (Marine Area 9): July 16-31, no minimum size. Daily limit two salmon. Release chinook. Aug. 1-31, no minimum size. Daily limit four salmon, no more than two coho. Release chinook and chum. Sept. 1-15, no minimum size. Daily limit 4 salmon, no more than 2 may be coho. Release chinook and chum.

Seattle/Bremerton Area (Marine Area 10): June 16-30. Catch-and release. Open only north of a line from Point Monroe to Meadow Point. Salmon may not be brought on board a vessel. July 1-Oct. 31, No minimum size. Daily limit two salmon. Release chinook. Release chum Aug. 1-Sept. 15. See sport fishing pamphlet for important area closure information and Duwamish Waterways special rules. Inner Elliott Bay Fishery: July 11-Aug. 17, open Fridays-Sundays only. Chinook minimum size 22 inches, no minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit two salmon, release chum Aug. 1-Sept. 15. Sinclair Inlet Fishery: July 1-Sept. 30, chinook minimum size 22 inches, no minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit two salmon, release chum Aug. 1-Sept. 15.

Tacoma-Vashon Island (Marine Area 11): June 1, Oct. 31 Chinook minimum size 22 inches. No minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit two salmon

Hood Canal (Marine Area 12): South of Ayock Point: July 1-Oct. 15, chinook minimum size 22 inches. No minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit four salmon combined, no more than two chinook may be retained. Release chum. North of Ayock Point: Sept. 1-Oct. 15, daily limit four coho only, no minimum size. Quilcene/Dabob Bay: Aug. 16-Oct. 15, no minimum size. Daily limit four coho only. Hood Canal Bridge Fishing Pontoon (Record "Area 9" on catch record card for salmon): Year 'round, chinook minimum size 22 inches. No minimum size for other salmon. Daily limit two salmon combined, no more than one chinook may be retained. Release chinook July 1-Aug. 31, and chum Aug. 1-Oct. 15.
