HARVEST PROFILE: Not much is known about clam populations on this beach, but there are are some very good clam and oyster beaches in this same general area. They include Wolfe Property State Park, Shine Tidelands State Park and Salsbury County Park.
DIRECTIONS TO SITE: Tala Shore is boat access only.
There is no upland access. The north and south boundaries of this beach are not marked. The beach is about 0.8 nautical miles from boundary
to boundary. The best landmark for this beach is a small point located approximately one quarter mile north of the south boundary. Approximate GPS coordinates of the small point are: 47.91º N, 122.653º W.
It is recommended that harvesters stay well within this area to avoid trespassing (map).
Nearest boat ramps: Mats Mats Bay ramp (located two miles north of Port Ludlow near the town of Mats Mats)
is about 4.4 nautical miles from Tala Shore by boat. Salsbury County Park ramp (located one mile west of Port Gamble on Wheeler Street) is approximately four miles from
Tala Shore by boat. FACILITIES:
None. There are restrooms at Salsbury County Park and a vault toilet at Mats Mats Bay ramp. There are facilities for boaters at Port Ludlow Marina.
