Comments:

Surveyed in 1979 by WDFW; 8 transects. Average pre-fishing density 0.05 geoducks/sq. ft. Fished 1980-81; 511,134 lbs reported. Resurveyed in 1987 by WDFW. Fished 1988-1989 as Otso 1-4 tracts; 1,083,441 lbs reported. Resurveyed in 1989 by WDFW; 38 transects. Combined 4 tracts back to 1. Seeded with hatchery geoduck seed 1989. Surveyed in 2001 by Nisqually tribe; 63 transects. Dig sample taken in 2002. Show factor used; 0.58 geoducks/sq. ft. Portions closer than 200 yards from shore. Tribal harvest in 2002; 88,869 lbs. Estimates from 2001/2002 survey have been adjusted for subsequent fishing.
