Fishermen are encouraged
to attend a post-season meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 11th,
from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Lacey Community Center, located at 6729 Pacific
Ave., Lacey WA, 98503. The meeting is an open forum to discuss the outcome
of the 2008 commercial seasons, and begin scheduling negotiation sessions
for the 2009 seasons.
For the period
following November 30th all areas of Puget Sound are closed to the commercial
harvest of salmon for the season.
Area 7B Bellingham
Bay, which was scheduled to be open, has been closed due to harvestable
surpluses of chum no longer remaining.
Catch data for the
2008 season will be posted here
as post season catch accounting is finalized.
