Getting outside for a day of fishing is lots of fun and easy to do. Here in Washington, there are places to fish within reach of almost everyone and something for kids to catch year-round.

Many counties in the state include fishing areas for kids only and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife also sponsors special fishing events for kids April through June. See Where to fish and Fishing events for kids.
