Describe their support and/or concerns:
I have recently been told that the Fish and Wildlife Commission may look at revising the Puget Sound Shrimp Policy later this summer, which could result in allocation shifts between commercial and recreational, similar to what happened when the Puget Sound Crab Policy was revised last year. If they do open up the Shrimp Policy for review there will be designated times for public input/testimony on this issue during at least one (maybe two) Commission meetings, which could be valuable in helping the Commissioners make decisions on the shrimp allocation issue.

WDFW Rule Proposal Recommendation
Not Recommended for further consideration Reference ID: DFW070022
The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission is currently reviewing and updating the Puget Sound shrimp policy and will be evaluating the recreational season design through this process. Reduced daily limits as a means to provide more opening days is being considered.
