Why the change is needed: Lakes are being planted the week of Thanksgiving with rainbow trout averaging over a pound each. They reopen the Friday after Thanksgiving. The purpose of the opener is to provide quality family trout fishing during the Thanksgiving weekend. The opener allows anglers to plan their trips to these lakes and equal access to these fish on the day of the opener.

Short Description Provide additional holiday fishing opportunity through closing some lakes the Monday before Thanksgiving and re-opening them the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Explanation Lakes are being planted the week of Thanksgiving with rainbow trout averaging over a pound each. The opener allows anglers to plan their trips to these lakes and provides time for all the lakes to be planted for this holiday fishery.
