Maintain the current regulation for opening day lakes. In 2012 the Fish and Wildlife Commission adopted a new regulation for Opening Day lakes moving the start date from the last Saturday in April to the 4th Saturday in April to ensure that there was not a delay in starting the fishery in years when there are five Saturdays in April. Maintaining the 4th Saturday in April will allow time to attain the desired size and for stocking of hatchery trout prior to the fishery.
