Rule to Change: Marine Area 10 Elliott Bay Closure rule 8
New Rule Proposal: Move the closure line of West Point to Alki Point eastward to the Pier 91 to Duwamish Head line.
Why the change is needed: This could greatly increase the fishing opportunity for small boaters coming out of the Armine boat ramp and would be a safety factor in keeping them from crossing the sound on marginal weather days.

Salmon, goes through the North of Falcon process This proposal deals with salmon. Salmon seasons are set through the Pacific Fisheries Management Council/North of Falcon process. This process adopts a cohesive set of rules for sport and commercial salmon fisheries, from ocean fisheries to those inside Puget Sound including freshwater fisheries each year during March and April.
