WDFW Rule Proposal Recommendation

Not Recommended for further consideration     Reference ID: DFW314235

This proposal does not offer additional conservation protection that warrants adjusting the current rule. The current rule is protective of native fish while allowing a broad spectrum of recreational anglers to use the resource. Implementing the proposed rule would potentially reduce recreational use of the resource.

I am all for changing the Naches to a catch and relese fishery. I have have other waters that have been changed and the fish have a better chance to grow larger and make the fishing a dream come true. The St. Joe in Idaho is one example.

I support this. The Yakima was a success after it turned catch and release. The Naches system has the potentioal to become another blue ribbon stream if we protect it with these regs.

The entire Naches system needs to be catch and release to preserve this pristine system for sport.

Yes, I would like to see a catch and release fishing river system. I have lived and grown up on the naches and it would also be great to have year around fishing. thanks
