Rule to Change: must do more regulation on comercial and tribal netting.
New Rule Proposal: must do more regulation on comercial and tribal netting.
Why the change is needed: Once the fish reach the river if numbers are to lowe it is too late. we are playing catch up and it only hurts the guy with a fishing pole. The guys with the nets pull in hundreds of fish many that are wild have been told this by comerical and tribal members.)One tribe doesnt count many of the fish they catch wont mention their name area 8-2 they have a right to fish to feed their tribe not to fish to make a profit Comercial fisherman and tribal fisherman will and are going to fish to extinction. You want more money for all programs get more fish back to the rivers after the people fishing the rivers and lakes are paying the bills they deserve better. The way we are doing it now is failing big time look at your records they agree stop giving away our rescources to people who profit and do what your supposed to MANAGE OUR RESCORCESS!

TACHELL, JONATHAN T October 08, 2012 GIG HARBOR, WA Comments: The WDFW can only skirt this issue and hide from it for so long. Non tribal commercial fishing need to end in this state and tribal commercial fishing needs to be done in a more selective manor.
TIMOTHY, LIDKE October 09, 2012 YAKIMA, WA Comments: Put more controls on gill nets they kill everything. I personely would like them gone on the rivers tribal say they have the right to fish that is true but where does it say the have the right to use gill nets and leave them in the water for days. I have personely seen tribal members trough a large boat of stealhead over 100 back into the columbia river because they were bad. Where are our controls.
