New Rule Proposal: opening south praire creek for general fishing from the carbon river , upstream, selective gear rules and if needed, catch and release only..............thank you
Why the change is needed: i say...."why not" and i don't really understand why it is not open....it is a most beautifull stream,accesable,close to home,myself aqnd other people would love the opportunity to fish this section of water, even if it was catch and release only....thank you

The present rule is consistent with the agency's stream strategy, which is intended to protect wild juvenile steelhead. This river has not been meeting escapement objectives for steelhead so we recommend the current rule remains in place.
