west from the channel exit.
TROUT Year-round Min. size 12". Daily limit 2. Chumming permitted.
Other Game Fish Year-round Statewide min. size/daily limit. Chumming permitted.
STURGEON Year-round Seasons, days of the week, size limits, and daily limits are the
same as in adjacent waters of the mainstem Columbia River.

Why the change is needed: The closure in place is to protect migrating salmon and steelhead smolts. The closure should go until the end of the month, not the 30th.

Explanation The closure protects outmigrating smolts. To be clearer the closure date would change from May 30 to May 31.
