| Rule to Change: Naches River 2 fish limit | New Rule Proposal: Make the Naches River a Catch and Release Fishery. | Why the change is needed: I propose that the Naches River in Central Washington be changed to a Catch and Release Fishery. The benefits of catch and release are many and far outweigh any of the negatives. Look at the Yakima River above Roza as an example. The trout fishery on the Yakima has improved to the point it has become a destination river and a huge economic benefit to both the county and the state. A similar scenario on the Naches could and would add to the overall draw of the region and subsequent economic benefits. Thank you for your time.

Reference ID: DFW702278 This proposal does not offer additional conservation protection that warrants adjusting the current rule. The current rule is protective of native fish while allowing a broad spectrum of recreational anglers to use the resource. Implementing the proposed rule would potentially reduce recreational use of the resource.
RICHARD, STEVEN October 11, 2012 MARYSVILLE, WA Comments: This would be an excellent idea, I fully support. VOSS, MICHAEL December 16, 2012 YAKIMA, WA Comments: no moor catch and release programs .The Natches must be left for anglers to have the option of taking home a few fish to eat .
REDs and his band of Librals can shove it .
