I support this but I am curious about the harvest limit relative to extending the season. Was increasing the daily limit on hatchery steelhead considered as an alternative, and would this achieve similar results to extending the season 15 days without changing the ahrvest limit? I support this rule change. I fish the Touchet River often during the winter for hatchery steelhead. When the season closes at the end of March there are still many hatchery steelhead in the river, which could interfere with spawning wild steelhead. ASHE, KEVIN December 08, 2012

By putting this rule in affect will there still be hatchery steelhead released into the touchet every year, or will it at some point get rid of the hatchery run?
