This small, bank fishing only lake is located within the Wooten Wildlife Area in the upper Tucannon River drainage. This lake is well stocked in late February or early March with 10-12 inch Rainbow Trout, plus some jumbo (14 inch plus) rainbows. Big Four Lake is located across the Tucannon River, and hatchery staff must have low enough river flows for them to be able to stock this pond. Some years stocking is delayed by high river flows. Anglers must wade the river for acess to the lake. Fishing from any floating device is prohibited. Caution is required when wading the Tucannon River, especially during snow runoff in March thorough May when the river may be high.
Lake is also located near Camp Wooten State Park, U.S. Forest Service campgrounds, and Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness.
