Blue Lake is located north of the City of Soap Lake along the east side of State Route 17. This lake is one of the most popular opening day lakes in Washington. Anglers from all around the State fish Blue Lake throughout the year. Fishery success is highly dependent upon WDFW's ability to keep the lake free from nuisance fish species that negatively affect Rainbow Trout fingerling survival. WDFW rehabilitates Blue Lake once every 10 years or so. Free from nuisance fish species, Blue Lake fishes excellent with most anglers nearly limiting on the opener and experiencing very good fishing throughout the rest of the season.
