Upper Caliche Lake

Upper Caliche Lake is located just south of George. This lake was rehabilitated in 2010 to remove nuisance fish species and restore the Rainbow Trout fishery. Since the rehabilitation, trout fishing has been good to excellent. Anglers mostly catch yearling trout ranging in size from 11-13 inches. This lake is extremely popular on the opener (March 1st), but only receives modest pressure there after. Both boat and shore fishing is productive at this lake.
