Kidney Lake has been stocked with trout since the late 1940s. Currently rainbow trout are planted prior to the April opener and again in May, and in the winter. The lake is located one mile north of the town of North Bonneville, with a season that runs from the last Saturday in April through the end of February.
Kidney Lake is stocked with catchable-size, triploid rainbow trout and rainbow broodstock. There are no developed access areas or boat ramps, but car-toppers can be launched. The dirt road near the lake is primitive. Care should be given on the gravel road as there is high log truck use. There is good shoreline opportunity but access involves walking down step embankments in most areas.
