Boating Facilities Grant Program

Description
The Boating Facilities Grant Program is a biennial state grant program administered by the state’s Recreation Conservation Office (RCO). It is funded by boaters’ marine fuel taxes for the development of boating facilities by state agencies, local and tribal governments. These monies can be used to acquire, develop, and renovate boating facilities, including launching ramps, transient moorage and support facilities on both fresh and saltwater.

For WDFW, this grant program serves to preserve and protect boating access and promote quality redevelopment of older WDFW boating access areas statewide. Projects may include, but are not limited to: new boat ramps, Americans With Disabilities (ADA) facilities, signs, restrooms and parking lots.
