If I am drawn for more than one permit and decide not to use one of them, can I return my permit and have my points restored?

No, the only reasons points can be restored are outlined below. If your situation fits the criteria below and you would like to return your permit and have your points restored, contact the Wildlife Program at (360) 902-2515.
  • You are active duty military personnel and are transferred or otherwise obligated and unable to participate prior to the opening of the special hunt for which you were selected (documentation is required).
  • If you, your spouse, immediate family member, or a group member are hospitalized or under the care of a physician making it impossible for you to participate in the hunt (documentation is required).
  • You made an error while submitting your special permit application and were selected for an unintended hunt (verification is required).
  • If you were unable to participate in a hunt due to an issue created by the department, its cooperators, or hunt representatives.
  • None of the landowners within the hunt boundary allowed access during the time of the hunt (verification is required).
  • When regulations are in conflict and you, through no fault of your own, cannot participate.
