Why can't I purchase or submit a Special Hunt Permit Application?

Prior to purchasing any deer, elk, bear, cougar or turkey special hunt permit application, you must first purchase the appropriate general season hunting license and tag. Mountain goat, bighorn sheep, or moose special hunt permit applications do not require the purchase of a general season hunting license unless the applicant is successfully drawn.

After you purchase your license, tag(s), and special hunt application(s) you must either submit your application online or by calling (24/7) toll free 1-877-945-3492. You may need to exit and return to the website after your license purchase if you are experiencing problems submitting your application. You may also have to enable Java Script in order for you to successfully submit your application.

If you continue to experience difficulty in purchasing your application, please contact the Licensing Division at (360) 902-2464 (representatives available 24 hours). If you continue to experience difficulty in submitting your application, please contact the Wildlife Program by phone at (360) 902-2515 or by e-mail at Wildthing@dfw.wa.gov.
